Press Release:

YOUTH ORCHESTRA HAS “UNFINISHED” BUSINESS AT FAKENHAM CHURCH

Following on from acclaimed performances at Centre Parcs and Springwood High School late last year, The West Norfolk Jubilee Youth Orchestra and Concert Band (WNJYO) musicians are preparing for their next public performance. The 40 strong Orchestra and the 30 strong Concert Band will be appearing at Fakenham Parish Church for the first time on the 12th April, playing a range of music which includes Schubert – Symphony No 8 (unfinished) and The Eve of the War from War of the Worlds. Tickets are available on the door for a 7:30pm start.

WNJYO was formed back in 1977 by the late Sir Malcolm Arnold CBE. It was approved to use funds from the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Appeal to start an Orchestra and Concert Band and promote high levels of musicianship in the area. Since then, we have only progressed to bigger and better things, in the past we have toured Europe and given countless performances to the general public. WNJYO is a registered charity and is only funded by donations and subscriptions so public support is vital. To find out more about us, please log on to our website: www.wnjyo.co.uk. See you there!
